This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. This Privacy Policy also sets out how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that personal data and the procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”), the data controller is TaskForce Holdings Ltd.

By using our App and/or registering for an account with us, you are accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy and you are consenting to our collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

  1. INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

The information we collect from you includes the following personal information you give us when you use our App or register for an account with us:

  • identifying information such as your name, addresses, telephone numbers or email addresses when you register for an account with us

  • bidding, buying or selling the information you provide during a transaction, or other transaction-based content that you generate or that is connected to your account as a result of a transaction you are involved in

  • other content that you generate or that is connected to your account (such as following other bidders)

  • financial information (such as credit card or bank account numbers) in connection with a transaction

  • In some instances, when you use our App, you may provide age, gender, interests, and favorites

  • additional information we are required or authorized by applicable laws to collect and process in order to authenticate or identify you or to verify the information we have collected

The information we collect automatically when you use our App or register for an account with us includes the following:

  • information about your interaction with our App, your advertising preferences, and your communication with us

  • geo-location information, including locating information from your mobile device. Keep in mind that most mobile devices allow you to control or disable the use of location services by any application on your mobile device in the device’s settings’ menu

  • device and connection information such as statistics on your profile views, traffic to and from the app, your IP address, search and bidding history

The personal information we collect using cookies and similar technologies:

  • We use cookies, unique identifiers, and similar technologies to collect information about the pages you view, the links you click, and other actions you take on our App, within our advertising or e-mail content.

Personal information from other sources:

  • We may supplement the personal information we collect with information from third parties and add it to your account information. For example, we may collect and use demographic information that is publically available, additional contact information, credit check information, and information from credit bureaus, as allowed by applicable national laws

  • We may allow you to share information with social media sites, or use social media sites to create your account or to connect your account with the respective social media site. Those social media sites may give us automatically access to certain personal information retained by them about you (e.g., content viewed by you, content liked by you, and information about the advertisements you have been shown or may have clicked on, etc.). If you provide us with access to any site with video content, then you agree that we may share your video viewing with, or obtain information about your video viewing from, third-party social media sites for at least two years or until you withdraw consent. You control the personal information you allow us to have access to through the privacy settings on the applicable social media site and the permissions you give us when you grant us access to your personal information retained by the respective social media site about you. By associating an account managed by a social media site with your account and authorizing us to have access to this information, you agree that we may collect, use and retain the information provided by these social media sites in accordance with this Privacy Policy

  • If you give us personal information about someone else, you must do so only with their explicit and prior consent. You have to inform them how we collect, use, disclose, and retain their personal information according to our Privacy Notice.

  1. USE AND RETENTION

We use the personal information we collect to provide and improve our App, to provide you with a personalized experience on the App, to contact you about your account and our App, to provide you customer service, to provide you with personalized advertising and marketing. And to detect, prevent, mitigate and investigate fraudulent or illegal activities. We may use and retain your personal information as follows:

  • provide access to and use of our app
  • offer you content that includes items and services you may like
  • keep track of your bids, your [invitations to tender], and profiles or services you have chosen to follow
  • give you access to your bids and purchase history, scores, internal messages and other features
  • customise, measure and improve our app
  • provide other services requested by you as described when we collect the information

Contact you about your account and provide you customer service

  • contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinion through survey questionnaires, or as otherwise necessary to provide you customer service
  • contact you as necessary to enforce our Terms and Conditions, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you

  1. USER PREFERENCES

You have a choice about how we use your personal information to communicate with you, to send you marketing information, how we provide you with customised and relevant advertising and how you choose to use your account and whether you wish to stay signed into your account.

You can select your preferences and choose whether or not you wish to receive marketing communications from us by specifying your profile communication preference settings.

Withdraw consent

  • If you withdraw your consent for the use or disclosure of your personal information for purposes set out in this Privacy Policy you may not have access to all the services offered through the App and we might not be able to provide you all of the services and customer support offered to our users and authorised under this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions
  1. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH OTHERS

If you are buying goods or services through the App, we may provide the seller with the delivery address for the goods or service and your billing address to complete your transaction. If an attempt to pay your seller fails or is later invalidated, we may also provide your seller with details of the unsuccessful payment. To facilitate dispute resolutions, we may provide a buyer with the seller’s address so that (where goods have been purchased), they can be returned to the seller.

When you are using the App, we may share your picture that you have stored with your App with other App users so that they can identify you. You license us to use your image for the above purposes on a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable basis.

Your information may, for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, be disclosed:

  • to regulatory bodies for the purposes of monitoring and/or enforcing our compliance with any regulatory rules or where required by law, regulation or legal proceedings
  • to a competent authority in response to a valid, legally compliant request by the competent authority
  • to our employees
  • to auditors or contractors or other advisers auditing, assisting with or advising on any of our business purposes;
  • to other third party consultants, contractors or other service providers who may access your personal information when providing services (including but not limited to IT support services) to us
  • to any third party, where such disclosure is required in order to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions and/or other agreements or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our customers or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction; and
  •  to prospective sellers or buyers of our business or any of our assets


  1. CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP

If we were to merge with or be acquired by another company, we may share information with them in accordance with our global privacy standards. Should such an event occur, we will require that the new combined entity follow this Privacy Policy with respect to your personal information? If your personal information will be collected, used, disclosed, or retained for any purposes not covered in this Privacy Policy, you will receive prior notification of the processing of your personal information for the new purposes.

  1. SECURITY

We protect your information using technical and administrative security measures to reduce the risks of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, and alteration. If you believe your account has been abused, please contact the TASKFORCE Customer Services team.

  1. THIRD PARTY PRIVACY PRACTICES

This Privacy Policy addresses only the use and disclosure of personal information we collect from you. If you disclose information to others, or if you are directed to a third party app, their privacy notices and practices will apply.

We cannot guarantee the privacy or security of your information once you provide it to a third party and we encourage you to evaluate the privacy and security of other users before entering into a transaction and choosing to share your information. This is true even where the third parties to whom you disclose personal information are bidders, buyers, or sellers on our App.

You can review the personal information you have provided to us and make any desired changes to such information, or to the settings of your App account by logging into your TASKFORCE app.
